canaPHEM has an affiliation with Canadian Red Cross offering specialized courses for:

  • First Aid
  • CPR
  • Standard First Aid
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Psychological First Aid.

Our team of instructors are all licensed and certified paramedics and advanced care paramedics in Ontario.

Regulation 1101 from the WSIB states that if your workplace has more than 5 people on one shift at any given time, there must be at least one person certified in standard first aid. If your worksite has more than 5 employees, it is suggested that you have more than one certified First-Aider on site at all times.

Additionally, every workplace with 5 or more employees is required to have a first-aid kit. Depending on the size of your organization, there are different types of first aid kits required. More Information

Less than Five (5) Workers in any One (1) Shift

Emergency First Aid

Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Five (5) or More Workers in any One (1) Shift

Standard First Aid

Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Required First Aid Kits

200+ Employees

Requires a Full First Aid Kit and a first aid room. Contact us for more details.

Health and Safety Equipment & PPE Suppliers

Under the Occupational Health & Safety Act it is required by law to protect the employee’s health and safety at all times and provide all of the proper equipment to allow the employee to work.
We are licensed by Health Canada, and our Medical Device Establishment License allows us to import and distribute medical grade products.
