Event Overview
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, motionball Marathon of Sport Toronto returned to the University of Toronto’s Varsity Stadium for a full day of inclusive sports, community engagement, and fundraising in support of the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.
The annual event brought together participants, volunteers, sponsors, and Special Olympics athletes for a unique and inspiring experience focused on inclusion, teamwork, and creating opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Throughout the day, participants were paired with local Special Olympics athletes and took part in a variety of sports and activities, including soccer, football, basketball, and benchball.
The event ran from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Varsity Stadium, located at 299 Bloor Street West in Toronto, and helped raise critical funds that support Special Olympics programs and athletes across Canada.
canaPHEM’s Role
canaPHEM was proud to serve as the official on-site Event Medical Services provider for motionball Marathon of Sport Toronto.
With hundreds of participants, volunteers, athletes, and spectators attending throughout the day, having professional medical coverage on-site helped ensure a safe environment for everyone involved. The canaPHEM team was positioned throughout the event to provide immediate medical support if needed, monitor participant safety, and assist organizers in maintaining a well-prepared and professionally managed event.
As a provider of event medical services across Ontario, canaPHEM specializes in supporting community events, sporting competitions, festivals, and corporate gatherings with trained medical personnel and rapid response capabilities.
